Where is My Bear ?? This tutorial was made in PSP8. You can use PSP7. You will need: Paint Shop Pro HERE My Bear canvas and Supplies HERE In the supplies is a tile for the bear fur. If you don't have the texturizer filter use the bear fur tile instead of the gradient. Open the Cri_Where's My_Bear.pspimage, SHIFT+D to copy and close the original Open the pattern and the flower in PSP and minimize for now. 1. Choose back dress layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 01-cribackdress. Flood fill with color # A4A296. Adjust Brightness and Contrast to - 40 and Contrast to 0 2. Reset your foreground color to #FBB319 and Background color to #F6D28C. Set foreground to Gradient using Foreground/Background at Horizontal&Vertical =50 Sunburst Gradient. No Repeats and Invert Gradient= Checked. Choose leg layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 02-crileg. Flood fill with gradient. Go to Selections/Float. Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cutout and apply these settings: H/V 0 Opacity 75 Blur 31.68 color #AC6B04. Keep selected Go to Effects/Plug-in/Texturizer using these settings : Sandstone Scaling 100% Relief 8 Light Direction Top Left. Deselect. Go to Effects/Plug-ins/EyeCandy3 Jiggle and apply these settings: Bubble Size 8 Warp Amount 5 Twist 75 Brownian Motion. 3. Choose foot layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 03-crifoot. Flood fill with Gradient. Float and apply same Cutout. Keep selected Go to Texturizer same settings. Deselect. Apply same Jiggle. 4. Choose leg1 layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 04-crileg1. Flood fill with Gradient. Float and apply same Cutout. Keep selected Go to Texturizer same settings. Deselect. Apply same Jiggle. 5. Choose foot1 layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 05-crifoot1. Flood fill with Gradient. Float and apply same Cutout. Keep selected Go to Texturizer same settings. Deselect. Apply same Jiggle. 6. Choose hand layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 06-crihand. Flood fill with Gradient. Float and apply same Cutout. Keep selected Go to Texturizer same settings. Deselect. Apply same Jiggle. 7. Choose hand1 layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 08-crihand1. Flood fill with Gradient. Float and apply same Cutout. Keep selected Go to Texturizer same settings. Deselect. Apply same Jiggle. 8. Reset foreground to pattern. In your layer palette go back and choose arm layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 07-criarm. Flood fill with the dress tile provided at Size 30 Angle 351 or your own choice. Float and apply Cutout changing Opacity to 80 and color to #747A6C. Go to Effects/Texture Effects/Texture and choose Crisscross at Default settings Go to Edit/Repeat Texture. Deselect. If you do not have the Crisscross you can use some other you like. 9. Choose arm1 layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 09-criarm1. Flood fill with the dress tile. Float and apply same Cutout Go to Effects/Texture Effects/Texture and choose Crisscross but change Angle to 251. Go to Edit/Repeat Texture. Deselect. 10. Choose dress layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 10-cridress. Flood fill with the dress tile. Float and apply same Cutout but change Opacity to 100 and Blur to 44.55 Go to Effects/Texture Effects/Texture and choose Crisscross but change Angle to 180. Go to Edit/Repeat Texture. Deselect. 11. Reset foreground color to solid #A4A296 Choose collar layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 11-cricollar. Flood fill with color. Float and apply Cutout with these settings: H/V 1 Opacity 100 Blur 4.95 Color #747A6C. Repeat Cutout changing H/V to -1 2. Reset your foreground color to #FBB319 and Background color to #F6D28C. Set foreground to Gradient using Foreground/Background at Horizontal&Vertical =50 Sunburst Gradient. No Repeats and Invert Gradient= Checked. Choose ear layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 12-criear. Flood fill with gradient. Go to Selections/Float. Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cutout and apply these settings: H/V 0 Opacity 75 Blur 21.78 color #AC6B04. Keep selected Go to Effects/Plug-in/Texturizer using these settings : Sandstone Scaling 100% Relief 8, Light Direction Top Left. Deselect. Go to Effects/Plug-ins/EyeCandy3 Jiggle Apply these settings: Bubble Size 8, Warp Amount 5 ,Twist 75, Brownian Motion. 13. Choose ear1 layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 13-criear1. Flood fill with gradient. Go to Selections/Float apply same Cutout. Keep selected Go to Effects/Plug-in/Texturizer same settings. Deselect. Go to Effects/Plug-ins/EyeCandy3 Jiggle same settings. 14. Reset foreground color to solid #AC6B04. Choose inner ear layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 14-criinnerear. Flood fill with color. Deselect. Apply Eye Candy Jiggle same settings. I did not use Texturizer on the inner ears. 15. Choose innerear1 layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 15-criinnerear1. Flood fill with color. Deselect. Apply Eye Candy Jiggle same settings. 16. Reset your foreground color to #FBB319 Your background should still be color #F6D28C. Set foreground to Gradient using Foreground/Background at Horizontal&Vertical =50 Sunburst Gradient. No Repeats and Invert Gradient= Checked. Choose head layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 16-crihead. Flood fill with Gradient. Go to Selections/Float. Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cutout and apply these settings: H/V 0 Opacity 75 Blur 31.68 color #AC6B04. Keep selected Go to Effects/Plug-in/Texturizer using these settings : Sandstone Scaling 100% Relief 8, Light Direction Top Left. Deselect. Go to Effects/Plug-ins/EyeCandy3 Jiggle and apply these settings: Bubble Size 8, Warp Amount 5,Twist 75, Brownian Motion. 17. Choose muzzle layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 17-crimuzzle. Flood fill with Gradient. Float and apply same Cutout. Keep selected. Go to Texturizer same settings. Deselect. Apply same jiggle. 18. Reset foreground color to #000000 Choose nose layer. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 18-crinose. Flood fill with Black. Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and choose Jasc round, default settings. Deselect. 19. Now we will do some shadings and decorations. Click on the foot layer. Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow with these settings: H/V 0, Opacity 60, Blur 9,90 color #000000. Click on the foot1 layer. Go to Edit/Repeat Drop Shadow. Click on the muzzle layer. Go to Edit/Repeat Drop Shadow. 20. Reset foreground color to solid #AC6B04. Go back to your foot layer. Add a new raster layer. With your Pen Tool Size 2 Drawing Mode, Freehand and only Sample Mode checked. Draw curved lines for the toes. Go to Adjust Blur/ Gaussian Blur 1,5 Do the same to foot1. 21. Click on the hand layer. Add a new layer. Draw a curved line in the middle of the hand and one to mark the thumb. Apply the same Gaussian Blur. Do the same to hand1. 22. Reset foreground and background to color #000000 Click on the head layer. Add a new layer. With Preset Shape Tool Ellipse make two small eyes. Add round Inner Bevel or make a white dot with paintbrush in both eyes Click on the muzzle layer. Add a new layer and make the mouth. 23. To get more depth you may want to use the Darken/Lighten Tool. I used round Size 20, Hardness 0, Step 25, Density 30, Opacity 40. But you can choose the settings you like. Darken and Lighten slightly the following layers: leg, leg1, foot,foot1, hand, hand1, head, muzzle and both inner ears. Look at my image above to get an idea where to Darken/Lighten. 24. Go back to the head layer. Add a new layer. Pen Tool Freehand Width 2 Foreground color of choice, background null. Make some hair. Same Jiggle. Open the flower provided , copy and paste as a New Layer on the head. I pasted three flowers. Drop Shadow same settings. You can make a bow instead if you like that more. 25. Now to the dress decorations. Feel free to decorate as you like. I did like this: New layer above the dress layer. Pen Tool Width 12 Vector checked. Draw a straight line in the middle. I used color #A4A296. Convert to Raster. Select all /Float/Cutout H/V 1 Opacity 80 Blur 4,95 Color #747A6C. Repeat Cutout changing H/V to -1 26. On a new layer make small buttons to decorate the front. 27. With Darken/Lighten Tool make some shadings on the dress or make a New Layer and use Airbrush with a darker shade. Then Gaussian Blur 28. Add a new layer above the arms layers and add some cuffs and buttons. 29. Guess what, LOL. You are done. Hope you enjoyed making your Bear. 6.01.2004 Home < |
