HAPPY LADY

 

This tutorial was written in PSP8. You can use PSP7

You need my Alpha Channel selections HERE

Included is the pattern I used for her pants

Feel free to make any changes you want.

 

Open the Cri_HappyLady.pspimage SHIFT+D to copy and close the original.

 

1.   Make your foreground color #8D9689 and your background color #DADAC8

     Click on layer wmachine. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 01-criwmachine.

     Flood fill with foreground color. Selections/Float/Effects/cutout V/H 0,

     Opacity 80 Blur 30 shadow color #252B2F.

 

2.   Click on layer wmchine1. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 02-criwmachine1.

      Flood fill with foreground color. Selections/Float/Effects/cutout V/H 0,

      Opacity 80 Blur 10 shadow color #252B2F. Move up a bit with your mover tool.

 

3.   Click on layer wmachine2. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 03-criwmachine2.

      Flood fill with background color. Adjust/Add noise Uniform 10.

 

4.   Click on layer wmachine3. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 04-criwmachine3.

      Flood fill with background color. Selections/Float/Effects/cutout  V/H 0

      Opacity 80 Blur 6. Adjust/Add noise Uniform 10.

 

5.    Merge these four layer. Name it weighing machine.

 

6.    Reset foreground color to #E6A968 and background color to #FACAB0.

       Click on layer foot. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 05-crifoot.

       Flood fill with foreground color/Modify/Contract 1. Flood fill with background

       color. Selections/Float/Effects/cutout same settings, only change  Blur to 20

       and shadow color to #E6A968.

 

7.     Click on layer foot1. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 06-crifoot1 and do

        the same as with the other foot.

 

8.     Reset your forground color to #252B2F and make your background color to

        pattern.  Scale 60 Angle 0.

        Click on layer trousers. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 07-critrousers.

        Flood fill with foreground color Selections/Modify/Contract 1 and flood fill

        with pattern. Selections/Float/Effects/cutout V 0 / H 6, Opacity 100 Blur 25  

        color #252B2F.

         

9.      Add a new layer. With paintbrush Size 3 foreground color, paint the shade for

         the leg. Look at my image above. Adjust blur/Gaussian Blur 2.

 

10.     Click on layer back hair. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 08-cribackhair.

          Flood fill with foreground color or color of choice.

 

11.     Reset foreground color to #E6A968 and background color to #FACAB0

         Click on layer neck. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 09-crineck.

         Flood fill with foreground color. Selections/Modify/Contract 1 and fill with

         background color. Selections/Float/Effects/cutout V/H 0 Opacity 80

         Blur 10.89 color #E6A968.

 

12.     Click on layer hand. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 10-crihand.

          Flood fill with foreground color. Selections/Modify/Contract 1 and fill with

          background color. Selections/Float/Effects/cutout V/H 0 Opacity 80

          Blur 10.89  color #E6A968.

          

13.     Add a new layer. With paintbrush Size 1, foreground color, paint lines

         on the hand. I made the fingers a bit longer and painted two curved lines

         to separate the hand from the arm. You may want to use the Lighten tool

         to lighten a bit inside the hand and arm.

         Merge these two layers, duplicate the layer and Image/mirror.

 

14.     Reset foreground color to #252B2F and background color to #DADAC8.

         Click on layer jumper. Selection/Load from Alpha Channel 11-crijumper.

         Flood fill with foreground color Selections/Modify/Contract 1,

         flood fill with background color. Selections/Float/Effects/cutout change

         Blur to 40,59 and color to #252B2F. Go to Effects/Texture/Texture  

         Sidewalk02  with the settings below. I added dsb flux filter Bright Noise

         Mix 45, but that is not necessary.

 

15.     Reset foreground color to #E6A968 and background color to #FACAB0.

         Click on layer head. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 12-crihead.

         Flood fill with foreground color Selections/Modify/Contract 1 and flood fill

         with background color. Selections/Float/Effects/cutout change only color

         to #E6A968.

 

16.    You are welcome to make your own face. If you want to use mine, open my

        Cri_happyface psp.image,  copy and paste as new layer on the head. Use mover

        tool to place it. With your Magic Wand click inside the mouth, Selections/Expand 1.

        Keep selected and add a new layer below the face layer and flood fill with red color.

 

17.    Add a new layer. Make her cheeks. If you go over the head edges, load

        the head again from Alpha Channel Selections/Invert and hit delete.

 

18.    Reset foreground color to #252B2F or the color you used for the back hair.

        Click on layer front hair. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 13-crifronthair.

        Flood fill with color.

 

19.    Now a little more shading LOL,  and decorations. Go back to your jumper layer

        and add a new layer. With foreground color Paintbrush Size 2 draw some

        shading lines. Look at image below. Adjust Blur/Gaussian Blur 4.

20.   Add a new layer. Reset your foreground color from solid to the pattern we

        used for the pants. Background color closed. Draw Tool Size 8, Vector checked,

        draw a line to form the collar line. When you are satisfied  Convert to

        Raster. Drop shadow V/H 1 Opacity 100 Blur 3 shadow color #000000.

        Repeat drop shadow but change V/H to -1 (minus 1).

        

21.    On a new layer draw an other line halfway down the jumper. Draw tool

        Size 10. You may uncheck vector. Same pattern but change Angle to 45.

        Add the same two drop shadows.

        Do the same on both sleeves. You can add some buttons or any other

        decorations if you like.
