PICNIC CHICK
(my idea came from a postcard)
Tools you need:
PSP 8
My Alpha Channel selections and Supplies HERE
Open my CriPicnicChick_Alpha.pspimage. SHIFT+D to copy and close the original.
1. Click on leg layer. Load from Alpha Channel 01-crileg.
Flood fill with color #FAB520. Go to Effect/Texture Effects/Blinds with these settings: Width 4, Opacity 80, Horizontal checked, color # B47702.
2. Click on leg1 layer. Load from Alpha Channel 02-crileg1 and repeat the same steps as above.
3. Click on hat back layer. Load from Alpha Channel 03-crihatback.
Flood fill with color #3E3F68. Go to Eye Candy3/Weave and apply with these settings: Ribbon Width 1, Gap width 0, Fill Gaps UNCHECKED, Shadow Depth 5, Thread Detail 10, Thread Length 3, Smear Threads UNCHECKED.
4. Click on left arm layer. Load from Alpha Channel 04-leftarm. Flood fill with color #FBD41F. Go to Eye Candy3/Weave and apply with same settings above. Deselect. Go to Eye Candy 3 /Jiggle, Apply with these settings: Bubble Size 5, Warp Amount 5,Twist 75, Movement Type: Brownian Motion.
5. Click on body layer. Load from Alpha Channel 05-cribody. Flood fill with color
#FBD41F. Apply the same Weave and Deselect. Apply same Jiggle. Click on head layer. Load from Alpha Channel 06-crihead. Repeat the same steps you did with the body.
7. Click on hat top layer. Load from Alpha Channel 07-crihattop. Flood fill with color #6364A1. Go to Eye Candy3/Weave and apply with same settings above. With your Airbrush Size 35, Hardness 7, Step 24, Density 100, Thickness 100, Rotation 0, Opacity 24 and color #3E3F68 shade around the edges.
8. Click on hatband layer. Load from Alpha Channel 08-crihatband. Flood fill with color #E632E8. Using your Airbrush Size 25 color #A614A8 shade the edges.
9. Click on back band layer. Load from Alpha Channel 09-cribackband. Flood fill
with color #E632E8. Using your Airbrush Size 25 color #A614A8 shade the
edges.
10. Click on brim layer. Load from Alpha Channel 10-cribrim. Flood fill with color
#6364A1. Apply the same Weave, Using your Airbrush Size 25 color #3E3F68 shade the edges.
11. Click on layer bow dark. Load from Alpha Channel 11-cribowdark. Flood fill with color #A614A8. Go to Adjust Brightness and Contrast. Set Brightness to -20 (minus) and Contrast to 0.
12. Click on layer bow. Load from Alpha Channel 12-cribow. Flood fill with color #E632E8. Using your Airbrush Size 25 color #A614A8 shade the edges.
13. Click on bowdark1 layer. Load from Alpha Channel 13-cribowdark1. Flood fill with color #A614A8. Go to Adjust Brightness and Contrast. Set Brightness to -20 (minus) and Contrast to 0.
14. Click on bow1 layer. Load from Alpha Channel 14-cribow1. Flood fill with color #E632E8. Using your Airbrush Size 25 color #A614A8 shade the edges.
15. Click on bow middle layer. Load from Alpha Channel 15-cribowmiddle. Flood fill with color #E632E8. Using your Airbrush Size 10 color #A614A8 shade the
edges.
16. Click on straw layer. Load from Alpha Channel 16-cristraw. Flood fill with color #FFFFFF . Go to Effects/3D Effects Inner Bevel and use the preset Gel-like at default settings. In case you do not have this preset the settings are: Bevel 12, Width 5, Smoothness 40, Depth 37, Ambience -72, Shininess 7, Color #7ED7C5, Angle 198, Intensity 86, Elevation 88.
17. Click on drink layer. Load from Alpha Channel 17-cridrink. Flood fill with color #FFFFFF. Go to Eye Candy 3/Glass and apply these settings: Look at Image below. The color I used is #FF4040.
18. Click on left hand layer. Load from Alpha Channel 18-crilefthand. Flood fill with color #FBD41F. Apply the same Eye Candy Weave we have used. The settings should still be there. Deselect. Apply the Eye Candy Jiggle still the same settings. Go to Effects /3D Effects/Drop Shadow H/V 0, Opacity 40, Blur 10 Color #000000. Grab your Freehand Selection Tool Point to Point and carefully select and delete the shadow outside the hand. The shadow should be only inside hand.
19. Click on right arm layer. Load from Alpha Channel 19-crirightarm. Flood fill with color #FBD41F. Apply the same Eye Candy Weave. Deselect. Apply the Eye Candy Jiggle. Go to Effects /3D Effects/Drop Shadow H/V 0, Opacity 40, Blur 10 Color #000000. With Freehand Selection Tool select the outside part of the arm and hit delete. Shadow only on the body.
20. Click on drink1 layer. Load from Alpha Channel 20-cridrink1. Flood fill with color #FFFFFF. Go to Eye Candy 3/Glass and apply the same settings as we did before. You may want to change the color. I used color #40FF40.
21. Click on drink2 layer. Load from Alpha Channel 21-cridrink2. Flood fill with color #FFFFFF. Go to Eye Candy 3/Glass and apply the same settings as we did before. You may want to change the color. I used color #FBD41F.
22. Add a new layer. Name it eyes. Preset Shape Tool Ellipse Foreground color off, Background Color #000000 make an eye. I used Inner Bevel Round at default setting. Edit/Copy and Edit/Paste as new selection the other eye.
23. Add a new layer. Name it nose. Preset Shape Tool Triangle Background Color #FAB520 Create as Vector Checked. Click on the two upper nodes and change both to Symmetric. Convert to Raster. Use Inner Bevel at these settings Bevel 2 round, Width 8, Smoothness 23, Depth 4, Ambience 0, Shininess 17 Color #FFFFFF, Angle 84, Intensity 28, Elevation 65.
24. Add a new layer. With your Airbrush Size 25 Color #EC8704 make two cheeks.
25. You are welcome to decorate him to your liking. If you want to use my bow Copy and Paste it as a new layer. I went back to the hat and bow layers one at a time and used the Lighten/Darken Tool to give some more depth. But that is optional.
