Valentine Bee

This tutorial  was written in PSP7.

You need my Alpha Channel selections and Supplies HERE

Unzip to a folder of choice.

EYE CANDY 3.0 HERE

If you don't have Eye Candy you can use your Retouch Tool and Smudge Open the Silver tile in PSP and minimize for now Open my Valentine_Bee image, hit Shift+D to copy and close the original.

Remember to SAVE  OFTEN!

1.   Make your foreground color #000000 and background color #404040  Click on layer back arm. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 01-cribackarm  Flood fill with background color. Go to your Airbrush tool with these settings:  Shape round, Size 55, Hardness 7, Opacity 24, Step 24, Density 100 and shade around the edges with foreground color.

2.   Click on layer body.  Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 02-cribody.  Flood fill with background color. Go to your Airbrush tool with these settings: Shape round, Size 55, Hardness 7, Opacity 24, Step 24, Density 100 and shade around the edges with foreground color.

3.   Reset your foreground color to  #FC9208 and your background color to #FFF073  Click on layer body stripes. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 03-cribodystripes.  Flood fill with background color. Go to your Airbrush tool with these settings:  Shape round, Size 55, Hardness 7, Opacity 24, Step 24, Density 100 and  shade around the edges with foreground color. Deselect   Go to Eye Candy 3 Jiggle with these settings: Movement Type: Brownian Motion  Bubble Size 9, Wrap amount 5, Twist 75

4.   Reset your foreground color to  #000000 and your background color to #404040.  Click on layer head.  Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 04-crihead. Flood fill with background color. Go to your Airbrush tool with these settings:  Shape round, Size 55, Hardness 7, Opacity 24, Step 24, Density 100 and

     shade around the edges with foreground color.

5.    Reset your foreground color to  #FC9208 and your background color to #FFF073  Click on layer cheeks. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 05-cricheeks.  Flood fill with background color. Go to your Airbrush tool with these settings:  Shape round, Size 55, Hardness 7, Opacity 24, Step 24, Density 100 and shade around the edges with foreground color. Flood fill with background color. Go to your Airbrush tool with these settings:  Shape round, Size 55, Hardness 7, Opacity 24, Step 24, Density 100 and shade around the edges with foreground color.

6.   Click on layer back leg.  Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 06-cribackleg. Flood fill with background color. Go to your Airbrush tool with these settings:  Shape round, Size 35, Hardness 7, Opacity 24, Step 24, Density 100 and  shade around the edges with foreground color.  

7.   Click on layer front leg.  Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 07-crifrontleg.  Flood fill with background color. Go to your Airbrush tool with these settings:  Shape round, Size 35, Hardness 7, Opacity 24, Step 24, Density 100 and  shade around the edges with foreground color.  

8.   Add a new layer. Reset your foreground color to #404040.  Change Airbrush  to Size 12,  Opacity 60, Density 60  Load 06-cribackleg again from Alpha Channel and make some stripes on the leg

9.   Add a new layer.  Load 07-crifrontleg again from Alpha Channel   and make some stripes on this leg too.

10.  Reset your foreground color to silver pattern and your background color to# FF4040  Click on layer heart. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 08-criheart.  Flood fill with foreground color. Go to Selections/Modify/Contract and hit 6. Flood fill  with background color. Keep selected. Go to Selections/Float/ Go to Effects/3D Effects  cutout with these settings: Horizontal 2, Vertical -4, Opacity 96 Blur 26 shadow color  #8C1E08. Repeat cutout but change Horizontal to -2 and Vertical to 4. The other settings are the same. Deselect.

11.  Reset your foreground color to #000000 and your background color to #404040.  Click on layer front arm. Selections/Load from Alpha Channel 09-crifrontarm.  Flood fill with background color. Go to your Airbrush tool with these settings:  Shape round, Size 35, Hardness 7, Opacity 24, Step 24, Density 100 and shade around the edges with foreground color.   Change brush Size to 12 Opacity to 60 and Density to 40 and spray a stripe on  the hand  with color #FFF073.

12.   Reset your foreground color to #000000 and background color to #404040.  Click on layer tail. It is the second layer with a red X on your layer palette.  Load from Alpha Channel 10-critail and flood fill with background color.  Change Airbrush settings back to Size 55, Opacity 24 and Density to 100 and spray the edges.  Add a new layer. Change only Airbrush Size to 3 and your foreground color to #FFFFFF   and spray a stripe on the tail. Go to Blur/Gaussian Blur and hit 3.   Now on to make the face.

13.  Make your top layer active and add a New Layer.  Reset your foreground color to #000000. Background color null.  Draw tool Freehand Line Size 1. Draw a tiny curved line for the eyes. Or you can use   Bezier Curve same size.

4.  Add a new layer. The same way draw the smile.

15.  Add a new layer. With preset Shape Ellipse and background color #FF4040  foreground color null  make a him a nose. Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and use  Jasc round preset at default settings.

16.  Add a new layer. Preset Shape Ellipse make a circle on both cheeks.  Same color as the nose. Go to Effects/Blur/Gaussian Blur 6. Load the head from Alpha Channel /Invert the selection and hit Delete.

17.  Now he only needs his antennas. Click on layer body stripes. Add a New Layer. Foreground color #000000 and background null. Use the Draw Tool Size 2 freehand  and draw two squiggly lines for the antennas. You can put a circle or whatever you  choose on the top of the antennas. I did with freehand tool a little flower and filled it  with light blue.

18.  On a New Layer on top,  make the text on the heart. I used Vector text
