Description: Learn how to use the path tool and the Path Edit Tool to make a shape. Use the Retouch and Airbrush tools to shade.

1. Open a New Image 450 X 450 with a Black Background. Using the Path Drawing tool, Ellipse. Color #33A333. Draw a shape 75 X 139. Use the Transform tool to rotate it to the side a bit. Then use the Path Edit tool to shape as shown below.

Right Click and choose Convert Object Type/From Text/Path to Image. Using the Burn Tool Size 50, Soft Edge 50, Level 50 Go around the edges. Use the Dodge Tool, same settings to put some Hightlight as shown below.

Reduce the Burn Tool to 10, Soft Edge 25, Level 25. Draw some lines for veins.

2. Using color #FBF7E3 and the Path Drawing tool Ellipse, 2D. Make a shape 195 X 96. Use the transform tool to rotate it a bit. Then use the Path Edit Tool, Free Edit to shape as below. Name this Layer Petal 1.

Right Click and choose Convert Object Type/From Text/Path to Image. Using the Airbrush tool, Size 50, Level 0, Soft Edge 50 Color #F2E1B8. Shade around the edges.

3. Using color #FBF7E3 and the Path Drawing tool Ellipse, 2D. Make a shape 139 X 70. Use the transform tool to rotate it a bit. Then use the Path Edit Tool, Free Edit to shape as below. Name this Layer Petal 2.

Right Click and choose Convert Object Type/From Text.Path to Image. Using the Airbrush tool, Size 50, Level 0, Soft Edge 50 Color #F2E1B8. Shade around the edges. Then go back to the Petal Below and using color #DECDA5 Shade lightly where the petals meet.

4. Using color #FBF7E3 and the Path Drawing tool Ellipse, 2D. Make a shape 174 X 96. Use the Path Edit Tool, Free Edit to shape as below. Name this Layer Petal 3.

Go back to Petal 3 and Using the Airbrush Color #F2E1B8, same Settings shade around the edges.

5. Right Click and choose duplicate. Using the transform Tool Rotate freely. Rotate into the position as shown below. Name this Petal 4.

6. Duplicate this Petal and using the Transform tools Resize it to a Height of 176. Name it Petal 5. Go Back to Petal 4 and Using the Airbrush tool and color #DECDA5 Shade lightly where the petals meet.

7. Using color #FBF7E3 and the Path Drawing tool Ellipse, 2D. Make a shape 160 X 72. Then use the Path Edit Tool, Free Edit to shape as below. Name this Layer Petal 6.

Right Click and choose Convert Object Type/From Text/Path to Image. Using the Airbrush tool, Size 50, Level 0, Soft Edge 50 Color #F2E1B8. Shade around the edges.

8. Using color #FBF7E3 and the Path Drawing tool Ellipse, 2D. Make a shape 160 X 84. Then use the Path Edit Tool, Free Edit. Move Nodes around and using the nodes arrows shape as shown below. Name this Layer Petal 7.

Right Click and choose Convert Object Type/From Text/Path to Image. Using the Airbrush tool, Size 50, Level 0, Soft Edge 50 Color #F2E1B8. Shade around the edges.

9. Using color #FBF7E3 and the Path Drawing tool Ellipse, 2D. Make a shape 100 X 66. Then use the Path Edit Tool, Free Edit. Move Nodes around and using the nodes arrows shape as shown below. Name this Layer Petal 8.

Right Click and choose Convert Object Type/From Text/Path to Image. Using the Airbrush tool, Size 50, Level 0, Soft Edge 50 Color #F2E1B8. Shade around the edges. Go Back to Petal 7 and Using the Airbrush tool and color #DECDA5 Shade lightly where the petals meet.

10. Using color #FBF7E3 and the Path Drawing tool Ellipse, 2D. Make a shape 110 X 180. Then use the Path Edit Tool, Free Edit. Move Nodes around and using the nodes arrows shape as shown below. Name this Layer Petal 8.

Right Click and choose Convert Object Type/From Text/Path to Image. Using the Airbrush tool, Size 50, Level 0, Soft Edge 50 Color #F2E1B8. Shade around the edges.

11. Using color #BE6867 and the Path Drawing tool Custom Shape B13, 2D. Make a shape 23 X 42. Using the Transform Tool, Rotate freely and rotate it to the right a bit. Name this Layer Center.

Right Click and choose Convert Object Type/From Text/Path to Image. Use the Burn Tool Size 25, Soft edge 50 Level 50 and shade both sides.

12. Using color #76592F and the Path Drawing tool, Ellipse , 2D. Make a shape 23 X 42. Using the Transform Tool, Rotate freely and rotate it to the right a bit.

Right Click and choose Convert Object Type/From Text/Path to Image. Use the Burn Tool Size 25, Soft edge 50 Level 50 and shade both sides.

Dupicate the Leaf 3 times Place where you want. Then Right click/Arrange/Send to the Back.
